			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There are many activities and attractions if you make the North Yorkshire moors your holiday base. You can do tons  of walks round the moors hamlets and simply visit the contrasting beach resorts  of Whitby, Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington,  Robin Hood&#8217;s Bay, Saltburn and Runswick   Bay. All are awfully  accessible.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.villagevacations.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/North-Yorkshire-Moors.jpg" rel="lightbox[55]"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-56" title="North Yorkshire Moors" src="http://www.villagevacations.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/North-Yorkshire-Moors-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a>A good place to go to and find out more about the North Yorkshire moors is the Moors Centre at Danby. You  can learn plenty about the area at the info centre and also explore the instant  locality with varied walks. Another excellent spot to walk in the North Yorkshire moors is at Sutton Bank top. There are  amazing perspectives on a visually clear day and you can watch the gliders  taking off and landing on the nearby airport. If you walk far enough you can  see the famous landmark, the White Pony of Kilburn. The North Yorkshire   Moors Nationwide   Park service operate an  information centre at the Sutton Bank automobile park area.</p>
<p>The Ryedale Folks  Museum brings to life the local  history of the North Yorkshire moors area.  Countless standard buildings have been reconstructed to show how our ancestors  lived and there are plenty of local artifacts to see! Ensure you keep an eye  out for the various events at the museum. The folks museum is found in the  pretty hamlet of Hutton-le-Hole. This hamlet is awfully engaging and there are  masses of tiny shops and cafeterias for you. Attempt to catch one of the Sun.</p>
<p>Automobile Boot sales in the hamlet centre in the summer. There&#8217;s a brewery  tour at the little hamlet of Cropton and it&#8217;s a must do for any lover of  regionally brewed ales. The lagers are so good the massive supermarkets are now  stocking them. The Cropton Brewery is surely putting Cropton on the map, so  take the tour and sample some of the different lagers. Cropton is a perfect  central location for the North Yorkshire moors  and it offers plenty of accommodation options. The Flamingo Land Zoo at  Kirbymisperton has grown speedily over the previous couple of years.</p>
<p>It is truly a zoo and a theme park, with some really exciting rides  available. There are tons of animals to view and masses of shows during the  day. It actually does offer something for everybody, so it&#8217;s a good family day  out. Castle Howard has a superb house and the estate gardens are easily worth a  visit. You could be extraordinarily acquainted with Castle Howard as it has  featured in several films with the main organisation being &#8216;Brideshead  Revisited&#8217;. The house has many amazing paintings and treasures for you to see  so take it slow to enjoy them. The estate has some amazing gardens and wood  walks. Castle Howard is in an excellent setting and this is reinforced with a  gorgeous lake in front of the main building. Look out for the many concerts  held at Castle Howard. A lot of them finish with an impressive firework  display.</p>
<p>You may also visit the glorious garden centre at Castle Howard freed from  charge. One of the finest little museums around is the Beck  Isle Museum  in the small town of Pickering.   A collection of objects of this  museumfrom the local Ryedale area. It is housed in a Regency residence in the  center of Pickering.  The main highlight is a collection of photos by a person called Sydney Smith. His  photos were so good that they have gained him a world wide following. While you  are in Pickering  it is great fun to go on the North Yorkshire Moors Train line . It is  definitely one of the finest methods to see the moors. Around eighteen miles of  pretty moorland landscape is open to you. Possibly the most suitable time to go  on the train is during Aug because the purple heather absolutely carpets the  moors. When you get to the destination of Goathland you are in the middle of  Heart beat country. The favored Television Series uses this area as its main  location. The entrancing museum at Eden Camp, near Malton, is a trip back in  time. You can get an engaging glance into what life was like in the second  World War. The sights, sounds and smells of that period in history are  recreated at this unique museum.</p>
<p>Try and capture the war time spirit with a trip to Eden Camp.</p>
<p>Helmsley has it&#8217;s Walled   Garden. It is awfully  stunning and the setting is impressive with the local Helmsley Castle  forming an impressive backdrop to it. It&#8217;s a tranquil place and excellent for a  quiet picnic. Helmsley castle is easily worth a visit too.</p>
<p>There are plenty of glorious shops in Helmsley so you  can enjoy a sundry day there. Keep an eye out for the market day on Fridays.  The Sea Life Centre is found at the wonderful North Bay,  Scarborough and it is housed in some extremely  characteristic &#8216;Pyramids&#8217;. It has loads of sea life on view and if you&#8217;re  vigilant you may &#8216;find nemo&#8217; there! It is definitely worth a visit.</p>
