Youngsters as young as three months are welcome in the daycare (elders get pagers), while lessons can begin at age three (for skiing) or six (for snow boarding.) If kids are nervous about skiing, Whistler’s Family Mountain Zone is a great starting point. This specifically elected area has a slower pace better for families who would like to stick together. Whistler has all of the common ski faculties one day lessons run around $115 and 5 day lessons roughly $550 and also includes the preferred alternative of a 2 or five-day Ride Clan camp, where 12-to-18-year-olds can learn tricks and new terrain with a hip instructor and other teens.

They can then show off their new skills in one of the resort’s five terrain parks. Kids aged 6 and under ski free. Non-skiing snowy fun can include exploring the kid’s journey park (there’s one on each mountain) where youngsters can put their skis aside and climb around a castle or tree-house, or going tubes at a family snow tubing park. A preferred accommodation choice for families in Whistler is the rental of ski-side condos, offering a little taste of home while away. Most resorts and hostels also permit children younger than the age of eighteen to remain in their parents’ room for free.
