Altea is found 15 kilometres north of Benidorm. This is one of the few villages on the Costa Blanca which has kept the fishing village feeling. Altea Attractions

Most shops are open from ten a.m. Till nine p.m. Many break for afternoon siesta from two p.m. Till four or 5 p.m. And then re open. Some of the bigger stores remain open all day. A walking tour is the most effective way to experience Altea close up. Walking tours are available in the city and surrounding mountain areas. The mountain walking tours are a good way to enjoy nature in a tranquil atmosphere. You can take a personal tour or a steered walking tour of many trails around the town. All inclusive tours are available for a couple of days to a week. A craft market is open in Altea from Easter thru Sep .
The market is found near the harbor area. Local crafts folk offer a spread of items for sale at the market.
You can get stunning hand made items at a fair price here. The sun and mild temperatures are popular for golfing vacations too. The Altea golfing club offers a great course for visitors. If you’d like to experience night life or more populated holiday maker attractions, take a short break to Benidorm. This bigger town is close enough to the hamlet for day trips by auto or train. Benidorm is home to theme parks, water parks, and night club.
